P ZERO E Tyres description & features

The Pirelli P ZERO E has A rated wet grip across the range as ultra high performance summer tyre designed with the range, weight and torque requirements of electric cars in mind. The asymmetric tread features cornering support blocks with front to back centremost water evacuation grooves. The Pirelli P ZERO E’s tyre compound incorporates rice husk silica, recycled carbon black and boasts recycled steel in its belt structure. More than 55% of Pirelli’s material usage in the P ZERO E is bio based or recycled.

Depending on the size, the P ZERO E includes Pirelli’s ELECT technology, aimed at the instant torque and higher weights of electric vehicles. Tyre review for Pirelli P ZERO E 255/50R20
I chose these for the front wheels since they were A rated all round. Sadly, they didn't have the correct size for the rear. These tyres replaced my Hankook iON Evos, which are already reputed for great efficiency. The car's data suggests these Pirellis have made an improvement on that. Performance is pretty much the same as the Hankooks, good in both the wet and dry. They have rim protection, but bumping a kerb in reverse caused a bulge in the tyre that I'm sure will last. While it may have protected the rim, I'm not sold on that feature.
