The Continental AllSeasonContact 2 introduces the benefit of improved mileage and wet braking, when compared to its original AllSeasonContact model. While it is better in those areas, it is still certified to be used in winter conditions. It has an aggressive V-shaped pattern in the tread of the tyre, designed to guide water away from the contact area and to the edge of the tyre. It has a C-shaped block to maintain and improve steering response on dry surfaces and has micro cuts in the treads to improve grip on cold surfaces and snow. The polymer and plasticizer compound from Continental maintains flexibility in varying temperatures for better grip.

It is the replacement to the AllSeasonContact and has a reported improvement of 15% in mileage and 3% in wet braking distance, in comparison to the original model, not to mention improved Rolling Resistance by 6%. The tyre is certified with the 3PMSF mark and is available with reinforced XL construction. You can find both of these options at Tyres.co.uk.

These tyres are very soft which offers excellent grip in all weather. The grip does not seem to affect the tyres efficiency as they have matched the miles per kWh of my older summer tyres. Although I have not tried them in heavy winter, they are fantastic in the rain, and are incredibly quiet when driving.

Incredibly quiet and provide a sense of safety in heavy rain on any terrain and good grip in the mud while dragging a heavy caravan. They seem ideal for my 2016 Skoda Superb. I intend to try them on my MX-5 as they excel on warm asphalt with great grip. Superb all-round option with some rim protection as well.
