Compared to the Avon ZZR's which were used previously, these budget tyres feel like they offer significantly less grip, and are both easier to start losing grip as well as being easier to lose grip and slide. While this is a relatively easy to deal with problem if you change the way you drive.

Better traction of these tyres gives them better stopping distance. Previous tyres, of the same brand, had more than 2mm of tread, yet their stopping distance was clearly worse.

At Tyres.co.uk, the MG ZS offers either the Michelin Primacy 4 or the Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2 in the size 215/50 R17, which is one of four original equipment sizes for ZS models from 2017 to 2025. The other sizes are 195/65 R15, 205/60 R16 and 215/45 R18. Please check your registration for size and ratings prior to purchasing.
The tyre size for the MG ZS is displayed on the driver's side door placard. When you open the door, you should see the placard that conveniently lists the size and the cold inflation pressure for the standard load and full load. The information is the same on the remaining sidewall of a fitted tyre.
Since the MG ZS are FWD, it is safe to say not all four need to be replaced. When replacing, always pair tyres for each axle. Newer tyres must always be placed at the rear. Only replace all four tyres under extreme circumstances of even wear and damage on the whole vehicle.
