The Yokohama Advan Sport EV V108 is a max-performance summer tyre designed for electric vehicles. It features an asymmetric tread and casing specifically designed to support EV-load. The tyre features four main grooves that run front to back for water evacuation. The outer tread blocks are made stiffer to support cornering. Additionally, the tread noise is minimised with a variable pitch tread design.

The foam absorbs noise and resonance that would normally travel the interior of the tyre casing and enter the cabin. The E+ mark on the tyre sidewall indicates that the tyre was specifically designed for electrified vehicles. The EV V108 mark designates this tyre as an EV-specific tyre in distinction to the standard Advan Sport V108. Tyres.co.uk sells the Yokohama Advan Sport EV V108.

Compared to the OEM tyres, these tyres are fitted on the 20" alloys of my Tesla Model Y are a huge improvement. They are a lot quieter, more comfortable, and smoother. They're still not a Rolls Royce but the bumps still drive me crazy, but at least these tyres are a nice improvement compared to the factory set.

Having completed 3000 miles with these tyres, I can say they have been spot on in terms of handling, grip and noise. While they are marketed as an EV tyre, they work perfectly for my hybrid as well. I had Yokohama tyres on an older Lexus model and that good experience lured me to choose them again.

From what I can tell, they have a decent grip and are not very noisy, but I'll have to wait to see how long they actually last. For reference, I achieved almost 30,000 miles on my Cross Climate 2 tyres on my Tesla Model 3.

Tesla Model 3 Performance! Amazing features, great value for money, and excellent reviews! I've already put 5000 miles on them, and they're just as good as the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres I had before! Saved more than £400 on the set too. The sidewalls could be wider to protect the wheels a bit more. Let's hope they last as long as the Pilot Sports (around 35,000 miles) We will see.

Although I've heard these tyres have decent grip, I have seen others averaging around 30,000 miles on their Tesla Model 3. Being that I also drive a Model 3, I wanted to test them out. After 9,000 miles, I had to do a front to back swap just to squeak out, hopefully, another 15,000 miles. So, I am a little disappointed at how short of a life they have.

My experience with these tyres has been positive. Driving with old tyres was uncomfortable because they were very bumpy. The cost of new tyres is reasonable compared to the benefits of the smooth ride. The producers promise these tyres will last a long time, so I'm hopeful. Overall, I'm pleased with the purchase.
