BluEarth ES32 Tyres description & features

The Yokohama BluEarth-ES ES32 uses Yokohama's Nano Blend Compound to create a summer tyre that uses less energy to roll. Nano Blend Compound uses an innovative blend of silica and orange oil. There are 4 main grooves that run along the length of the tread to effectively remove water. Outer edge blocks form a stiff outer edge to provide support through the turn.

The ES32 is the replacement of the BluEarth-AE-01. It is the newest addition of Yokohama's fuel-efficient summer tyre line. The tyre uses a lightweight casing to minimise energy loss as the tyre rolls. The 5-pitch variation uses 5 different lengths of tread sections to create a noise barrier through different sound frequencies. We have Yokohama BluEarth-ES ES32 tyres at Tyres.co.uk.

These tyres grip well in wet and dry conditions due to using quite a soft rubber mix. They are significantly quieter than my last set. Although they do tend to wear out a little quicker because of the soft compound, I think the lifespan is still reasonable considering the price. I would say they are worth the money.

I've heard plenty of road noise in my day, but nothing close to the really annoying humming sound these tyres make while driving on the motorway. My old tyres never did this. Could be the tyres just don't pair well with the car, which is odd considering the car and tyres are both from reputable Japanese brands. Quite let down, really. It's a good thing I don't make regular trips on the motorway.

Outstanding tyres! They greatly improved the grip and reduced the distance needed to lock the brakes. In the case of my old Lotus Elan, they changed the handling completely through the steering. I had to wait before I could provide feedback on their wet performance as it has been dry recently. I can say however that I have used these tyres previously and they were dependable. Prior to these I had Continentals and to be honest there wasn't much difference between the two. If I was to put aside cost as a factor I would have chosen Michelins for their durability. That said, for decent tyres at a reasonable price, I have no issues with my decision.

Operates well in rain as well as dry weather. Responds to changes in speed very quickly. Can get a little noisy, but otherwise the ride is comfortable. Given the average speed in London is 20mph, it does not impact fuel consumption greatly.
