Max-performance summer tyre Yokohama Advan Sport V105+ focuses on the ability to control wet road driving at high speed. Its asymmetric tread pattern places larger outer edge blocks on the tread for cornering ability. Yokohama Advan Sport V105+ incorporates 4 wide grooves that run mainly from front to back to assist in channeling water through the centre tread. Yokohama also utilises what it calls the Matrix Body Ply, which consists of a cross-braced layer of cords in the tyre’s casing that assist in the retention of the tyre’s shape while it is under a load. Yokohama’s Orange Oil tyre compound is a mixture of natural orange oil and micro silica which help in the even distribution of the rubber.
The V105+ improves upon the Advan Sport V105 line through the development of an improved wet braking rubber blend as well as a reduction in the tyre’s rolling resistance. The sidewall may have the markings of Mercedes Benz (MO) or Porsche’s (N0) approval, which are the indicators that the V105+ has been built to meet the specifications of each respective manufacturer, and are available in the XL reinforced construction.
