The Yokohama Geolandar X-AT G016 is designed as a rock-crawling, all-terrain tyre. Yokohama’s GEO-SHIELD construction includes a unique 3-ply polyester casing with a full-width nylon cap and high turn-up sidewalls. This construction method incorporates additional material to areas susceptible to impacts and punctures. In addition, Yokohama designed the G016’s tread pattern to include variable pitch to minimise tread pattern noise.
Some sizes feature a 3PMSF designation, which is the sidewall designation for tyres that are certified for severe snow service. The Geolandar X-AT G016 LT features a light-truck sidewall construction and is suitable for heavier-duty applications. The G016 also features 2 different sidewall designs allowing for either design to be placed as the outer sidewall of the tyre when mounted.
