5/5Hankook Ventus Prime 4 (K135)The Hankook Ventus Prime 4 tyres are an improvement to the Prime 2 that originally came with my Golf. The rear set achieved a commendable 44,000 miles, and I've been doing 18,000 miles on the front ones, which I'm pretty happy about. They offer good braking and a reasonable rating for fuel consumption. They are also get really good drive quality with a lot of grip, and they remain quite quiet.

5/5Kumho Ecowing ES31I bought Kumho Ecowing ES31s after one of my front tyres surrendered after I hit a huge pothole on a bad road in the New Forest. The old tyre did 15,000 miles and was already a replacement. The other front tyre was changed as well as it was getting slashed by sharp stones and flint on the gravel road I drive on daily to get to the main road. These tyres are brilliant value for money, offering great grip on both dry and wet roads. They don't seem to wear out quickly as the rubber looks long-lasting and the tread is still almost new after 4,000 miles. They are quiet for a tyre on the motorway and I have driven a bit more carefully and there was an improvement noticed with fuel economy, about 10-12 miles more per tank. Now I get around 485 miles for a fuel consumption of 40 litres of diesel, …
