Chevrolet Trax Tyres
As a compact SUV, the Chevrolet Trax takes on multiple tasks. From the school run to the long haul, family road trips to city centre shopping, the Trax needs it all and deserves some support from its tyres. Chevrolet Trax tyres should have good grip in the wet and give confidence when braking. Focusing on comfort and limiting the amount of road noise will make the ride more enjoyable.
The Tyres for the Chevrolet Trax do vary depending on the year of the model, trim, engine and factory wheels. The best fitment must be confirmed for each individual Trax. Some of the approved fitment details can be found on the sidewall of the original tyres, the vehicle handbook or from the registration of the vehicle. Maintaining approved fitment assists in Trax models retaining their overall comfort, handling and safety.
Tyres.co.uk is a reliable source for Chevrolet Trax tyres. Trax owners are able to view tyre listings based on brand, price and even performance, such as comfort and safety. Customers are even able to arrange for local fitting through a fitter of their choice.

Tyre review for Continental Premium Contact 2 225/50R17
Incredible traction and far less noise than the original Bridgestone Turanzas. Built from a softer compound, they have a shorter life span, but the trade-off is absolutely worth it!

Tyre review for Michelin Primacy 4 225/50R17
Steering is more direct and has better grip, while stopping is also good.
Bonnie-Rose Eathan
Tyre review for Michelin Primacy 4 195/55R16
Better traction of these tyres gives them better stopping distance. Previous tyres, of the same brand, had more than 2mm of tread, yet their stopping distance was clearly worse.

They perform well in all weather conditions, and they in particular excel in rainy weather.

Avon ZX7
Tyre review for Avon ZX7 245/45R19
As the fitter stated, the Avons began to crack at the bottom of the grooves at about 15,000 miles, despite having plenty of tread. I have now returned to Michelin Crossclimate 2, which I was unable to obtain previously.

Options for tyres from Tyres.co.uk for the Chevrolet Trax include the Michelin Primacy 4 and the Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6 in the 215/55 R18 99V XL category, which is suitable for the factory 18-inch wheel option. As the UK Chevrolet Trax also came with 16-inch wheels, please check the placard for the correct size, load index, and speed rating before placing an order.
You can find Chevrolet Trax tyre-size details on the Tyre and Loading Information label located on the driver's-side centre pillar (B-pillar). To find it, open the driver's door and look beneath the door-lock striker. The placard lists the original tyre sizes along with the suggested cold inflation pressures.
Chevrolet Trax advises that if tyres are worn and need to be replaced, all four tyres should be replaced. This isn't a requirement. If only one set of tyres is being replaced, UK tyre-safety guidance states the new set should go on the rear axle. All four tyres on AWD versions of the Chevrolet Trax should be of the same size, brand, type and similar tread depth.
