Tyre review for Goodyear Vector 4 Season G3 225/55R18 102W XL
I decided to contact some reviews on these snow tyres after watching YouTube videos on snow tyres. I fitted them on my 18-inch Monza alloys for the winter because the 19-inch original tyres on my Mk7.5 Golf GTI are not good for light snow conditions here in the North East. I have to say I was a bit underwhelmed by them because it was over 10 degrees when I fitted them, and obviously, these tyres are meant for much colder conditions. We got some snow early December, and the tyres dealt with everything beautifully, even at over 70 mph in fresh snow and the car felt nice and stable with no skid or slide. They even worked well in my estate with just a little wheel spin. The downside is of course, like all snow tyres, they don't work that great in the rain, and they will skid a bit, but I suppose I do like to drive my GTI a bit aggressively. The combination of these and my Michelins on the back of the Golf is excellent. These winter tyres are good and I may even get another set to match all four, as the rears are from a used tyre shop and are 13 years old but were new then.
