Should I change all four tyres at once?
Changing all four tyres
When they are all due for replacement, changing all four tyres is best practice. This allows for balanced grip and handling across the entire vehicle.
When only two are needed
If you only require two tyres, you can do them as a pair. For stability, put the new pair on the rear axle and if possible match them on the same axle by brand, size, tread pattern and wear level.
Replacing only one
If one tyre is damaged, replace it and as closely as possible, match the tyre on the same axle. Use the same brand, model and size if possible. Tyres on the same axle with a large difference in tread depth can be dangerous.
