4/5Michelin Pilot Sport 4 SThese tyres perform excellently in warm weather and in the rain; however, their performance drops significantly when it is cold outside or the temperatures are chilly. It is clear that they need to heat up and become sticky in order to excel.
5/5Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Gen-3From what I can tell, the tyres seem to be working as documented (I used to have the gen 2s). I don't know if the new block/sipe design will compare as well in snowy/slushy conditions to the zigzag design of the gen 2s. I haven't had the opportunity to test it out in snow, but I think dry and wet grip is about the same. I have been using winter tyres for 25 years and have had to change them every season. Nowadays, it seems that all-season tyres can withstand anything the UK weather throws at them. This would improve road safety and the flow of traffic in the winter and during bad weather. I think that all new cars in the UK should come with all-season tyres.

5/5Continental Sport Contact 5PI bought my VW Scirocco R brand new, and these tyres came with the car. They provide great grip and stability in all weather conditions. There may be other tyres available, but for my car, these work perfectly, so I don't see any reason to change them.
