The Hankook Ventus S1 evo 3 SUV (K127C) is an ultra-high-performance summer SUV tyre designed to retain its shape under the load of an SUV while dissipating water in warm weather driving. The asymmetric tread has four wide grooves running from the front to the back of the tyre. Hankook’s Interlocking Groove channels link the grooves to direct water out of the tread block. The outer edge of the tread is designed to form a band to support the tyre during cornering. A synthetic silica compound is designed to enhance the grip of the tyre on wet roads while also decreasing rolling resistance.
The Ventus S1 evo 3 SUV (K127C) features an aramid hybrid reinforcement belt which minimises tread expansion caused by the heat of high-speed driving. Below this belt is a 2-ply rayon carcass which supports the tyre against the high loads typical of driving an SUV. A high-stiffness bead filler supports the rim of the tyre, Firming the connection to the rim. This tyre is designed to replace the Ventus S1 evo 2 SUV from Hankook’s tyre line.
