Hankook's Ventus S1 evo3 K127B is a BMW-tailored ultra-high-performance summer tyre that features an asymmetric tread design and a formulation of Aqua Pine for dry and wet performance. High-performance summer tyres are usually designed for dry conditions, but the K127B also has features that increase performance in wet conditions. The K127B has four main grooves that run vertically across the tyre and carry water from the tread. The larger block patterns that surround the edge of the tyre assist with creating a firmer outer edge to assist with cornering. The Ventus S1 evo3 also features a two-ply rayon carcass and a hybrid aramid belt that limit the tyre from growing and assist the tyre in keeping its shape and firmness as the speed of the vehicle increases.
The K127B is BMW star marked on the sidewall, which indicates that the tyre was designed for BMW and is not simply an aftermarket tyre.
