The Hankook Ventus V12 Evo 2 K120 features summer-oriented design elements. The V12 Evo 2 K120 is an ultra-high-performance summer tyre. Hankook used their 3D Point Effect design to incorporate stiff, enhanced edge tread blocks to aid in braking and cornering. Hankook also utilised their silica compound in the tyre to enhance wet-weather grip. The asymmetric tread features vents and grooves to aid in the evacuation of water from the contact patch.
Hankook's K120 model has replaced the K110 model in this performance range. Adding to the K120's performance capability is a wide belt of steel below the tread, combined with a high-density rayon casing and firm bead filler. This combination aids the K120 in sustaining high speed and maintaining the tyre’s summer shape. The K120 is designed for summer use in temperatures above about 7 degrees.
