Kinergy Eco (K425) Tyres description & features

The Kinergy Eco (K425) from Hankook has been designed as a low rolling resistance summer tyre for eco passenger cars using their new nano-silica technology combining eco friendliness and energy efficiency. The tread draws water away from the contact patch using three longitudinal grooves with a cross section designed to force water through the grooves and out of the contact patch. The outside edge of the tread has stiffened blocks to maintain edge and shape through cornering. Fine slits in the tread provide additional edges to assist with traction and braking in the wet.

Hankook has worked to provide a quiet ride through the K425 using their Vibration Control Technology which shapes the tread to control the vibrations that pass into the vehicle. The Kinergy Eco 2 K435 is the new design that has replaced the K425 in low-rolling-resistance summer tyre line. Tyres.co.uk has the Kinergy Eco (K425) in stock.

Put these on my little runaround in the spring and they have been spot on so far. Quiet around town and they do not roar on the motorway like the budget ones I had before. Grip in the wet is fine, the car stops when I need it to and it feels steady through roundabouts. The steering is light, which suits the car. I have noticed the fuel gauge dropping a bit slower too, though that could just be my driving. Not much wear showing after a few thousand miles. Happy with them for the money.
