The Hankook Winter i*cept RS2 (W452) is a winter tyre designed primarily for passenger cars. The tyre uses an Aqua Pine compound that ensures the tyre remains flexible in winter conditions for winter traction on roads. The directional V-shape grooves in the tread design carry water and slush towards the outside edge of the tyre. Sipecs in the tread design create edges for traction in winter conditions.
The W452 replaced the Winter icept RS (W442) in smart design and versatility. The tyre also features sidewall markings of 3PMSF and M+S designations indicating the tyre is winter certified, with 3PMSF indicating the tyre has passed the mandated snow traction test.
