The Nankang AS-3 is an ultra-high-performance summer tyre that uses an asymmetric tread layout and focuses on dry-road cornering and water evacuation. The outer edge uses large blocks for cornering stiffness while the inner edge uses a straight, steady, rib. The inner edge rubber uses a silica compound to increase wet traction. The tread pattern uses 4 circumferential grooves to channel water into slanted drain outlets.
