The Nankang NS-2R offers two elasticity options and two different treadwear compounds providing drivers with a choice between a 120 and an 180 version (the 120 compound is for track use only). The NS-2R features a solid centre tread with the compound’s ribb structure (with an added sidewall support).
The 120 and 180 designations are simply Nankang’s UTQG treadwear designations, and in this context, do not refer to the NS-2R’s load index or speed rating.
