The Nankang NS-2R offers two elasticity options and two different treadwear compounds providing drivers with a choice between a 120 and an 180 version (the 120 compound is for track use only). The NS-2R features a solid centre tread with the compound’s ribb structure (with an added sidewall support).

The 120 and 180 designations are simply Nankang’s UTQG treadwear designations, and in this context, do not refer to the NS-2R’s load index or speed rating. The 120 compound (track use) is softer than the 180 compound (road and track use). Tyres.co.uk offers the Nankang NS-2R in both compounds (120 and 180).

Tyre review for Nankang NS-2R 245/40R18 97W XL
For track days only. More effort and warmth are required on out laps for the tyres to perform. Tyre pressure increase is different from Yokohama AD09. Comparably tread surface temperatures to Yokohama but feel different.
