Ford Transit Custom Tyres

The Ford Transit Custom excels at several different tasks including the delivery of goods, different types of trade work, and the transport of people. Therefore, Custom tyres must combine excellent wet grip with braking confidence while maintaining comfort and low road noise levels. Given the typical nature of transit work with deliveries, anything that helps relieve stress to the driver is appreciated.

Different Ford Transit Custom models will require different tyres based on what generation, what body style, what trim, what engine, and what factory wheels the vehicle may have. The Ford Transit Custom tyres approved for fitment must maintain handling and safety while transporting a load, so the correct tyres must have the correct size, load index, and speed rating. The tyres can be checked for fitment on the sidewall, in the vehicle handbook, or on the registration.

At Tyres.co.uk, you can easily look up Ford Transit Custom compatible tyres. Prior to making a selection, you can view the cost and performance level of each tyre. A selection can be made, and an appointment can be booked for a local garage to fit the tyre of your choice, at the time that is convenient to you.

Michelin Agilis CrossClimate

Generally good performance with a strong grip in wet and dry conditions. Winter weather performance is far superior to that of summer tyres.

I have yet to test them in conditions that require additional grip. Nonetheless, the grip design provides a more comfortable and quieter ride.

I bought these for the second time because the first set lasted my car 4 years and 45,000 miles. They are quite and very good on countryside paths, Cornish lanes, and wet muddy fields. I've never been left stranded or lost traction. Very happy.

Goodyear EfficientGrip Cargo
Tyre review for Goodyear EfficientGrip Cargo 205/65R16
5.00/5
There are no issues so far, and the grip in the wet is definitely better. How they wear is a matter of time, so we'll see then. The older set from the local garage Ludlow only lasted 3,000 miles in 8 months before they were worn out. fingers crossed these last longer.

Great tyres and so simple to fit. Last up to 25,000 miles and can take a lot of time spent on construction sites. We always go for these tyres on our vans. Good value for money.

Michelin Agilis 3
Tyre review for Michelin Agilis 3 215/65R16
4.00/5
The Michelin Agilis 3 tyres work exceptionally well in wet conditions and are excellent at managing high weight capacities. Personally, I carry a lot of tools and materials in my van and I would recommend these tyres. They are also very quiet when driving, so there is no noise.

The noise generated by these tyres is rather reasonable as they appear to be wearing in nicely. They also handle remarkably well and braking is quite effective.

Ford Transit Custom Tyres: Everything You Need to Know

Some options for the Ford Transit Custom at Tyres.co.uk are the Michelin Agilis 3 and the Bridgestone Duravis Van, both 215/65 R16C 109/107T, and are factory-fitted on the 250 S and 260 S variants. Before ordering, consult the driver's-door placard for the needed load index, speed rating, and commercial tyre spec.

The driver's side B-pillar of the Ford Transit Custom has a tyre information placard located on the driver's door. This placard has the information for the tyre size. This placard also provides approved inflation pressures for different loadings of the vehicle as well as the type of tyres needed. Make sure this information matches the handbook and the tyres.

The Ford Transit Custom generally does not require all tyres to be replaced. It is safe to replace axle pairs at a time. New pairs should go on the rear axle for safety reasons. Replace all four if there is a significant difference in the tread depth. Models that are all-wheel drive require all tyres to have the same specifications.
