Tyres.co.uk sells Audi S1 S Tronic tyres with either Michelins Pilot Sport 5 or Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6. They are both in the size 215/40 R17 87W XL. The Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 are also sold as a stock 17-inch wheel option. The other factory size available for the optional 18-inch wheel will have different load and speed ratings, so pay attention to the placard before purchasing.
The placard for tyre size and cold fill pressure of the Audi S1 is located on the right rear fuel filler flap. It gives approved combinations of wheels and tyres for the S1 and their respective cold fill pressure. The size of the tyre is also printed on the sidewall, so check that as well prior to your purchase.
In all versions of the Audi S1, it is important that all four tyres are the same and must be from the same manufacturer and have the same tread pattern, as every version of the S1 uses the quattro four-wheel drive system. If that is not the case, all four tyres must be replaced, in the event that three are replaced, a fourth treaded tyre must be of the same performance and quality as the other three. If two new tyres are fitted, the new pair must be fitted on the rear axle.
