The number 205 is the width of the tyre in millimetres. 45 means that the sidewall is 45% of 205mm, giving a measurement of 92mm. R18 means that it is a radial tyre that is 18 inches, which gives 642mm of diameter. It has a short sidewall which helps limit flex when turning.
