The Bridgestone Potenza Race is a tyre for the road that can be used on track-days in summer sessions, and is designed for performance and precise steering for dry-lap track use. It features a tread design that uses a warm high grip tread with an asymmetric layout. The track use treads also feature large outer blocks that can manage tyre tread under the extreme forces of cornering. The central tread blocks also feature full depth grooves to provide a pathway for water evacuation. Potenza Race also uses a Hybrid Crown Reinforcement, which integrates aramid and nylon, as a belt, to help with cornering stiffness.
The Bridgestone Potenza Race tyre is also offered in an XL Reinforced version, which will be noted with an XL on the sidewall, for higher load rating vehicles. In the 225/40 R18 92Y XL size, the EU label is a D for an overall fuel rating, an A for an overall Wet Grip rating, and B class and 72dB for an overall external noise rating. This size of tyre is also rated Y for a speed of 186mph. Tyres.co.uk offers the Bridgestone Potenza Race.
