Ferrari 488 Tyres

Ferrari 488 is a responsive mid-engined sports car, and its tyres should be responsive as well, with high performance and precision steering. There is a need for control in all driving conditions, especially with the British weather. To help provide control in all conditions, some models have treads for ride comfort and minimise road noise on longer trips, while still providing wet grip and strong braking support.

The Ferrari 488 offers many variations of tyre size based on model year, generation, trim, engine, and factory wheel option, especially with the GTB, Spider, and track variants. The right Ferrari 488 tyres should be the approved size, load index, and speed rating. The approved sizes can be located on the vehicle handbook, vehicle registration info, or the sidewall of the current tyres.

Tyres.co.uk allows customers of the Ferrari 488 to choose and compare tyres of their choice and book convenient local fitting to have the tyres installed.

Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S
Tyre review for Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S 225/35R19

I have had excellent performance with these tyres in all kinds of weather. The grip is excellent and the ride quality of my E89 Z4 improved noticeably as soon as I changed from the original run flats.

The tyres are excellent. However, the price has increased quite a lot. A nail went through the tread within a week. I will still choose Tyres.co.uk in the future.

Amazing grip from the get-go, no need to warm up the tyres as they grip almost as well as dedicated track tyres.

Since I've had them, it's been a little cold, which isn't the best to test them out. But, from previous experiences, they give me confidence in warmer weather.

I read some great reviews and decided to buy some Michelin Pilot Sport Cup2 tyres for my road-legal track car, a Mazda RX8. These tyres offer great dry road handling and responsiveness just like other ultra-high-performance tyres that I have experienced. I won't be testing these tyres on wet roads and I suspect that they may not perform will on wet roads based on my assumption of their tread design. On the track these tyres excel. I specifically compared these tyres Cup2s with the Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersports and noted a small but confident improvement in stability and grip. I would track recommend track use.

Tyre review for Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 305/30R20

My main use for these tyres is sprints and track days. When it comes to dry weather conditions, they are absolutely superb, however, when it comes to wet or damp conditions, I fear the risk too much when I am pushing my Porsche Cayman S to the limit. On average roads, they are decent but I am considering going for something a bit more durable next time, maybe a Pirelli Trofeo.

Great in a bit of rain, rubbish when it's pouring - but truly amazing on warm dry days.

Doesn't grip the road as well when wet, but does great when the road is dry.

Still breaking them in but I'm already seeing less skidding on the damp roundabouts!

These are run flat tyres, and I chose to stay with the same brand as came with the car. They're not the quietest and could roll better, but your prices were competitive and the garage down the road did a good job fitting them.

The Pirellis are doing really well. They are certainly much better than my last Continentals, especially at providing a more confident feeling at the front when it is raining.

Before You Buy Ferrari 488 Tyres: FAQ

Tyres.co.uk offers Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2s and Pirelli P Zero (PZ4) with 245/35 ZR20 (95Y) XL at the front and 305/30 ZR20 (103Y) XL at the rear for the Ferrari 488 GTB. Make sure to check the original equipment markings, load index, and speed rating on the vehicle placard prior to placing your order.

You can find information about the tyres on the driver's door on the tyre pressure and type placard for the Ferrari 488. You can see the placard if you open the driver's door and it has information about the recommended specifications and the cold pressure for the front and rear tyres. You can also find this information in the owner's manual.

It is not necessary to replace all of the tyres at once on the 488 Ferrari: since all road-going 488 models are rear wheel drive, it is not necessary to have an all-four matching set. Replace tyres in pairs per axle where possible and keep each axle the same in type, construction, and specification. If you can only fit two new tyres, put them at the rear.
