I read some great reviews and decided to buy some Michelin Pilot Sport Cup2 tyres for my road-legal track car, a Mazda RX8. These tyres offer great dry road handling and responsiveness just like other ultra-high-performance tyres that I have experienced. I won't be testing these tyres on wet roads and I suspect that they may not perform will on wet roads based on my assumption of their tread design. On the track these tyres excel. I specifically compared these tyres Cup2s with the Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersports and noted a small but confident improvement in stability and grip. I would track recommend track use.

My main use for these tyres is sprints and track days. When it comes to dry weather conditions, they are absolutely superb, however, when it comes to wet or damp conditions, I fear the risk too much when I am pushing my Porsche Cayman S to the limit. On average roads, they are decent but I am considering going for something a bit more durable next time, maybe a Pirelli Trofeo.

At Tyres.co.uk, there are two options, Pirelli P Zero Corsa and Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S, for Ferrari 812 Superfast tyres, in size 275/35 ZR20 102Y XL for the front and 315/35 ZR20 for the rear. Pirelli has a 106Y at the rear. Michelin has 110Y XL. Please check placard and axle specification before placing your order.
The tyre specifications for Ferrari 812 Superfast are on the placard located in the driver’s door frame. Once the driver’s door is opened, the approved specifications for cold pressures for the front and rear tyres that differ in size are provided. It is advised to check this placard and the tyre specifications sidewall to ensure you are order the correct replacements.
There is no concern for changing all four of the Ferrari 812 Superfast tyres at the same time since this is a rear-wheel drive vehicle. There are no configurations of 812 Superfast drivetrain that are all wheel drive. The front and rear sizes of the tyres are different so where only two tyres are replaced, the new pair goes on the axle it belongs on.
