The Bridgestone Ecopia EP25 is a UK-adapted passenger car summer tyre focusing on the low rolling resistance design. This tyre is engineered for the more moderate summer conditions in the UK while optimising daily driving. It has a special rubber compound engineered to optimise the rolling resistance. This aids traditional combustion cars and helps drivers of electric vehicles to maintain a good driving range. The casing loss design helps maintain a good driving feel both in the city and on the motorway. Any tread water in less than ideal driving conditions is channelled away by the directional grooves and cross channels.
These tyres were even selected as original equipment on some models of the Toyota Prius because of their excellent efficiency driving. It also has a special braking and cornering tread design to ensure a consistent and even tread wear as long as the tyres are properly inflated and alignment is good. Being a summer tyre, the tread compound is built to withstand temperatures over 7 degrees Celsius. Bridgestone Ecopia EP25 tyres are available on Tyres.co.uk.
