Tyre review for Bridgestone Potenza S005
235/35R19The default tyres fitted to BMWs are absolute rubbish. I get a new BMW every six months due to my job, and I absolutely hate when I get these tyres. My co-workers have a regular BMW and theirs wear down to 3mm at 8,000 miles. Mine is a performance BMW and I went through them in just 5,000 miles. The grip is similar to Pirelli or Goodyear in both wet and dry, but it is decent, and nothing outstanding. The braking, handling and grip are all fine, but for how quick they wear out, they are terrible. We actually look forward to our new cars arriving so we can joke on whoever gets these. Don't buy these tyres. I'm super glad I don't have that car anymore and I definitely do not want to drive with these tyres ever again. P.S. I personally never had a blowout, but a number of my colleagues have had Bridgestones burst unexpectedly, which is odd.
