Vauxhall VX220 Tyres
Like most mid-engine sports cars, the Vauxhall VX220 has specific tyre requirements for its steering and chassis design. The Vauxhall VX220 requires tyres that have good wet grip and adequate braking and handling. These tyres make for a safe and comfortable ride. Tread design is important for comfort, noise, and road stability on longer trips.
The Vauxhall VX220 tyre sizes vary based on the model year, generation, and trim level as well as engine and factory wheel choices and variations of naturally aspirated and turbocharged models. Vauxhall VX220 tyres must also match the approved size, load index, and speed rating to maintain the vehicle's overall safety and riding comfort and design. The information to help make your tyre purchase is located on current tyres (in the sidewall), the vehicle handbook, and through the vehicle registration.
Once you have this information, you can easily purchase your tyres through Tyres.co.uk where you can compare prices, performance, and brands as well as schedule an easy local fit. This makes it easy to purchase tyres for your Vauxhall VX220 that match its road-focused sports car character, usability, and optimal wet-weather performance, responsive braking.

Wonderful, I always put Michelin on my Porsche as they are the best tyres for it, plus they have the Porsche 'N' rating.

Tyre review for Yokohama Advan Neova AD08RS 225/40R18
While I would recommend them, I would advise caution in the wet as they can skid. On the dry however, they are fantastic.

Tyre review for Yokohama Advan Neova AD08RS 225/40R18
I do not think these tyres perform well and am surprised at them being marketed as suitable for track days. There was little grip and at Brands Hatch the tyres squealed on a dry surface. I went to Snetterton today where the conditions were wet to dry and I almost decided to call it a day because the tyres were not worth it. I think they are only fit to be summer road tyres. I am really disappointed by them.

In dry conditions, perform brilliantly. When wet, proceed with caution.

Tyre review for Yokohama Advan Fleva V701 225/45R17
Having been on the car for a year, the tyres have performed excellently. They handle all braking and cornering manoeuvres with confidence as well as having reliable wet weather performance. They also assist in quite driving and help with fuel saving.

Yokohama Advan Sport V105
Tyre review for Yokohama Advan Sport V105 235/40R19
I have used these tyres before as they were on the car when I purchased it, and they do their job as expected. That said, there are some cracks along the centre of the tread.

Tyre review for Yokohama Advan Sport V105 235/40R19
The supercharged Lotus Elise has these tyres. They were reliable at my most recent track day. They showed little to no fading and grip loss. A bit of graining at the end of the day meant that I had a great time! Even after 40 minutes of full power on the track, the tyres were consistent.

There are options for Vauxhall VX220 tyres at Tyres.co.uk. Front Bridgestone Potenza RE040 175/55 R17 81W and rear either Michelin Pilot Sport 5 or Toyo Proxes Sport 2 225/45 R17 94Y XL are available. Ensure you check the minimum load and speed rating from the factory before placing order.
Further information for the Vauxhall VX220 can be found on the placard within the fuel filler flap. This will provide the recommended tyre pressure and cold tyre pressure and the original equipment specifications for tyres and wheels. Please be mindful as some VX220s have aftermarket wheels and are not the factory spec. Please check the registration before placing the order.
Replacing all four tyres does not have to be done simultaneously for a Vauxhall VX220. Neither the naturally aspirated nor the Turbo variant has any matching all-wheel drive, thus they are both rear wheel drive cars. The rear axle shoulders the requirements for the two replacement tyres and must be maintained to preserve the set-up in a stagger.
