The Durun L919 is a summer car tyre designed to channel and drain surface water on the tyre tread during wet driving conditions. The L919 uses a series of grooves running the circumference of the tyre that connect to lateral (sideways) channels to remove water from the tyre contact patch with the road. The L919 maintains directional stability through the centre tread with rigid blocks on the outer tread to support the tyre during cornering and lane changing.
The Durun L919 is designed to operate above the freezing point in summer driving conditions of the UK, both wet and dry.
