5/5Michelin Pilot Sport 4 DT1Handles pouring rain particularly well on the motorway, and feels even steadier and more secure with the bigger size (now up from 205). It also looks really nice and is one of the better looking tyres. In dry conditions, the performance is also great, and it is a lot quieter and more comfortable than the Dunlops that were on the car originally.
4/5Continental Sport Contact 5Given the large 215 footprint, the road noise is surprisingly low. The dry traction and road grip are excellent, and the wet traction and road grip are also good. The braking performance is very good too.

5/5Kumho Ecowing ES31I bought Kumho Ecowing ES31s after one of my front tyres surrendered after I hit a huge pothole on a bad road in the New Forest. The old tyre did 15,000 miles and was already a replacement. The other front tyre was changed as well as it was getting slashed by sharp stones and flint on the gravel road I drive on daily to get to the main road. These tyres are brilliant value for money, offering great grip on both dry and wet roads. They don't seem to wear out quickly as the rubber looks long-lasting and the tread is still almost new after 4,000 miles. They are quiet for a tyre on the motorway and I have driven a bit more carefully and there was an improvement noticed with fuel economy, about 10-12 miles more per tank. Now I get around 485 miles for a fuel consumption of 40 litres of diesel, …
