Citroen Xsara Picasso Tyres

The Citroen Xsara Picasso is a compact multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) designed for practical family travel and suited for daily errands and long journeys. Ideally, Citroen Xsara Picasso is equipped with tyres that feature stable braking performance and excellent grip in wet conditions and that provide a smooth and comfortable ride. Low road noise tyres best suit the spacious and comfortable cabin. Other sets of tyres focus on providing the best comfort and efficiency for everyday use.

The Citroen Xsara Picasso has different tyre sizes that vary depending on the generation, trim level, engine and which factory fitted wheels have been options. Matching the correct fitment of tyres is very important, since it is unique to each vehicle. The correct tyre size, load index and speed rating can be obtained from the vehicle’s existing tyre sidewall, vehicle handbook or can be obtained from the vehicle’s registration. Having the correct specifications of tyres for the Citroen Xsara Picasso helps in providing comfortable and predictable handling of the vehicle with a full load of passengers and bags.

I replaced the two rear tyres after doing the front ones and one tyre from the front and back needs to be inflated every 6 to 8 weeks.

So far, they've been great and quieter than I thought they would be.

The front tyres will most likely need to be replaced soon, while the rears are about halfway worn. Traction in wet conditions is good and the wear seems to be what would be expected.

Country roads in the Scottish highlands can be a bit of a challenge. However, I think I've solved most problems with my new tyres. They're so much better for cornering and braking, especially when it's raining, and they feel grippy enough to hold on to the road. I've also noticed that my car handles a lot better, and the tyres didn't break the bank either. I am very pleased with my decision.

Due to the reasonable price and load capacity, I fitted them on a twin-axle caravan. I can't comment on durability just yet, but so far, so good.

I am considering replacing them, even though it will be expensive, that's how bad I feel. It is just inaccurate. Forum users mentioned that my car would handle a lot better with this make and model, but that is just not true.

Better traction of these tyres gives them better stopping distance. Previous tyres, of the same brand, had more than 2mm of tread, yet their stopping distance was clearly worse.

Buying Tyres for Your Citroen Xsara Picasso: FAQ

Options available for the Citroen Xsara Picasso at Tyres.co.uk include the Michelin Primacy 4 and Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2, both in 185/65 R15 88H, which are factory fitted for the 2009 Desire and VTX models. Please check the front door pillar and registration for these details before purchasing.

Information regarding the tyre size of the Citroen Xsara Picasso can be found on the tyre-pressure label located on the front door pillar in the door frame. The label lists the approved tyre measurements, load and speed rating, and the cold pressure; all of which can be found in the handbook as well. Due to the possibility of a variance in original wheel and tyre specifications, it is important that you consult the placard for the particular vehicle.

You do not need to replace all four tyres on Citroen Xsara Picasso as it is front-wheel drive in all variants, meaning no driveline variants that would require tyre matching. When tyre replacement is necessary, it is best to do so in pairs per axle while maintaining matched size and construction across each axle. With regards to fitting two new tyres, UK safety guidance suggests that they be positioned on the rear axle.
