4/5Nankang NA-1It seems that these are simply a substitute for the originals that came with the car. I don't think they provide the best grip when it's cold. In the rain or frost, they seem to spin a bit too fast on take off, and sometimes even in second gear (I could be pushing the pedal too hard). I worry about how they will perform in the snow though. Apart from that, the car drives well in the wet, my fuel consumption has not increased, and the road noise is the same. Considering the price, I will leave things like this for the time being.
5/5Kumho Wintercraft WP52Overall great winter tyre. Better than my last ones, I would highly recommend them to others.
5/5Dunlop SP SportMaxx RT2They appear to be working great! Quieter than the last brand and they have been lasting longer as well.
5/5Michelin Primacy 4+As expected, good steering is easy to control. From behind the wheel, the driver is more confident.
5/5Saferich FRC16I just put on some new Saferich FRC16 tyres, and I can tell a difference already. They provide precise handling and track well, even in the rain. I've driven them on a ton of different road conditions, and the grip is great, even on winding roads. Compared to my last set of tyres, which were pretty budget, these tyres offer a massive improvement in ride quality. Last set was really noisy and had no feedback at all. Overall, good purchase and pretty hard to beat the value.
5/5Goodyear EfficientGrip CompactRainy condition traction is also very good along with providing a smooth ride.
5/5Kumho Ecowing ES31The front tyres will most likely need to be replaced soon, while the rears are about halfway worn. Traction in wet conditions is good and the wear seems to be what would be expected.
5/5Kumho Ecowing ES31I bought Kumho Ecowing ES31s after one of my front tyres surrendered after I hit a huge pothole on a bad road in the New Forest. The old tyre did 15,000 miles and was already a replacement. The other front tyre was changed as well as it was getting slashed by sharp stones and flint on the gravel road I drive on daily to get to the main road. These tyres are brilliant value for money, offering great grip on both dry and wet roads. They don't seem to wear out quickly as the rubber looks long-lasting and the tread is still almost new after 4,000 miles. They are quiet for a tyre on the motorway and I have driven a bit more carefully and there was an improvement noticed with fuel economy, about 10-12 miles more per tank. Now I get around 485 miles for a fuel consumption of 40 litres of diesel, …
5/5Michelin Primacy 5I switched my Pirelli Powergy tyres for these Michelins. I didn't think they would make an enormous difference, but my car is definitely more responsive in turns. They handle well in the rain, but I'll have to wait and see if they last longer than the Pirellis.
