5/5Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersport RExtremely impressed; there has been a tremendous improvement in handling response and steering in mixed conditions.
5/5Goodyear Eagle F1 (Asymmetric 3)Since I had a blowout on my car, I opted to change to run flat tyres because I already had two of them. I had to choose another brand due to them being let down, so I selected the same run flats. I really like the new run flats as they instill confidence.
4/5Kapsen K30000So far I've been happy with these Kapsen K30000 tyres. They have given me good grip on both wet and dry surfaces.
5/5Michelin Pilot Sport 5Great grip on dry, damp and wet surfaces, I feel a small increase in fuel consumption. Smooth driving.
5/5Continental Sport Contact 6These tyres have only been fitted for two weeks so it is still early days, and I also appreciate the weather has been abysmal. I thought the wet performance would leave a lot to be desired, but so far they have been exceptional. In the dry they grip really well. I am just slightly disappointed by the rim protection which is less than that of the ContiSport 5P's. Those did 14,000 miles so I will be interested to see how these perform.
1/5Bridgestone Potenza SportThe experience has been bad as I have already had to replace them. I bought these tyres based on Mercedes recommendation for the Mercedes C300 cabriolet. I usually drive in eco mode, on dual carriageways, and with cruise control. I fitted the tyres on January 26 and after only two months and 4,000 miles I was experiencing dangerous slipping of the car in wet conditions. Upon inspection of the back tyres, I found them to be nearly bald. This was after 2 months which does not match the expectations set for the tyres as they supposedly have good road grip. I have now changed to non-sport tyres.
4/5Michelin Pilot Sport 4 SThey do perform decently, but there are now other high-performance tyres that either match or exceed the PS4s. I might look into trying those next.
5/5Goodyear Eagle F1 (Asymmetric 5)I immediately noted increased traction both in the wet and dry - I feel like I'm behind the wheel of a completely different vehicle.
