Peugeot 508 Tyres

The Peugeot 508 is a modern, convenient family car. It is a fastback, saloon, or estate in varying generations. The 508 is likely to meet commuter and holiday needs. Its design will mean it delivers reliable braking in the wet, absorbs road noise, provides comfort, and allows for efficient use of fuel. All whilst dealing with the unpredictable UK weather. Comfort is also extended to motorway driving.

The 508 comes in many configurations and so will require many different sizes of tyres. Fastbacks, saloons, and estate versions of the 508 could have different fitments. The Peugeot handbook and the sidewall of the tyre will give the right specifications, load index, and the correct speed rating of the tyres. The correct specification gives the 508 a comfortable driving experience and the peace of mind that it is safe and dependable. The comfort is also extended to vehicle compliance.

Tyres.co.uk allows a driver of a Peugeot 508 to view and compare tyres of different brands and offer different price and performance options. After deciding, the driver can book a local fitting for the newly selected tyres.

Steering is more direct and has better grip, while stopping is also good.

Better traction of these tyres gives them better stopping distance. Previous tyres, of the same brand, had more than 2mm of tread, yet their stopping distance was clearly worse.

They perform well in all weather conditions, and they in particular excel in rainy weather.

The existing tyres are doing an adequate job but my expectations for how long the front tyres would last were higher. Most of my driving is local, and there are a lot of roundabouts in this area.

They are beautiful tyres, and they help me to be confident and calm when driving. If only the roads were built to the same standard!

Avon ZV7 tyres provide excellent performance on the wet country roads and the rainy weather where I drive. They help with fuel economy and last a long time before needing to be changed. I feel confident driving on them and plan to put them on the back of my car soon. They are great value for a mid-range tyre.

I drive an estate and can say that there is more road noise with the back seats folded down compared to when they are up. The new tyres have clearly decreased the noise levels.

Avoiding a definitive viewpoint is understandable and speak for themselves, they appear to be quiet and handle well in the wet. Good fuel economy was achieved on a long journey with the 1.5tsi SUV reaching 60mpg.

I chose these tyres as I liked the Primacy 4+ that I had tried on another car. Since these are fitted to the back of the car, I can't comment too much on the handling, but after 2000 miles, they are still tracking well and gripping the road. There is no wear to be seen yet. What is Refreshingly fuel efficiency improved with these tyres. Just by changing two I have seen a gain of 1-3 miles per gallon! The biggest positive is the noise reduction of the tyres. My car doesn't have a rear parcel shelf, so noise enters the cabin easily, but these tyres have made it a lot better. They aren't the cheapest tyres but they are worth it. I will be buying the same ones for the front when they need changing. Booking and paying through Tyres.co.uk was easy, and the garage that fitted them was great and very helpful.

Peugeot 508 Tyres: Everything You Need to Know

Tyres.co.uk offers Michelin Primacy 5 and Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2 tyre options for the Peugeot 508 in the size 215/55 R17 98W XL. These tyres are compatible with second-generation 508 models that have 17-inch wheels. Please check the registration and driver's-door label. Due to varying sizes, load indices, and speed ratings among different 508 generations, trims, and wheel configurations, this information is critical.

Details on tyre size for the Peugeot 508 can be found on the driver's side tyre and paint code placard. The first-generation Peugeot 508 models have this information on the centre pillar while the second-generation models have it on the driver's door aperture. This placard indicates the approved dimensions for the tyres, load and speed indices, as well as the required inflation pressures.

It is unusual for the Peugeot 508 to need four new tyres; replace tyres in matching pairs on the same axle and to the specified standard. For the Hybrid4 and PSE four-wheel-drive versions, there is a requirement for closely matched tyres on all four wheels. When two new tyres are fitted, UK tyre safety guidance is to position the pair on the rear axle.
