Kia Magentis Tyres
The Kia Magentis is designed as a practical mid-size saloon for commuting and family road trips that also serves well on the motorway for longer journeys. The weather variability across the UK is something Kia Magentis tyres should be prepared for with good wet grip and braking. The tread design prioritising comfort will help make the journey smoother. Touring tyres will further help with quietness and rolling resistance.
There is a difference in the Kia Magentis tyre needs based on the generation, model year, engine variant, trims and the factory wheel options. To help keep the ride comfortable and safe, the correct Kia Magentis tyres need to be the size approved for the vehicle and match the load index and speed rating. The correct fitting can usually be checked by looking at the current tyre sidewall, in the vehicle handbook, or using its registration.
Drivers of the Kia Magentis can look at Tyres.co.uk for a comparison of the suitable tyres based on brand, price, and performance, and can also book a nearby fitting service.

Tyre review for Michelin Primacy 4 225/50R17
Steering is more direct and has better grip, while stopping is also good.
Bonnie-Rose Eathan
Tyre review for Michelin Primacy 4 195/55R16
Better traction of these tyres gives them better stopping distance. Previous tyres, of the same brand, had more than 2mm of tread, yet their stopping distance was clearly worse.

They perform well in all weather conditions, and they in particular excel in rainy weather.

Tyre review for Kumho Ecowing ES31 175/60R15
I replaced the two rear tyres after doing the front ones and one tyre from the front and back needs to be inflated every 6 to 8 weeks.

Tyre review for Kumho Ecowing ES31 165/65R15
So far, they've been great and quieter than I thought they would be.

Tyre review for Kumho Ecowing ES31 215/60R16
The front tyres will most likely need to be replaced soon, while the rears are about halfway worn. Traction in wet conditions is good and the wear seems to be what would be expected.

For the 2006 2.0L Magentis that previously had 92H, your options at Tyres.co.uk include Michelin Primacy 5 and Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2 in 205/60 R16. Note that other models within Magentis or different wheel configurations may have different specs, so please check your registration and the placard next to the driver’s door.
The Kia Magentis has the tyre info placard in the door shut on the driver’s side. Therefore, to check, you need to open the door. This placard shows the original equipment tyre size and the recommended cold inflation pressure, the size of which is also permanently moulded into the sidewalls of the tyres.
The Kia Magentis has front wheel drive. Therefore, any of the drivetrain configurations should not require all four tyres to be the same. Therefore, only the tyre or axle that needs replacing should be replaced. They should all be of the same specification and construction. As recommended by UK Tyre Safety, if two tyres are replaced as pairs then they should be fitted to the rear axle.
