I have a 2017 Hyundai Tucson, now 9 years old, and it's always had Hankook Ventus Prime2 225/60 R17 V (99) tyres. I've always had confidence in these tyres for all weather conditions. I've also had excellent mileage and wear with these tyres, and I don't bother with any other brands or types now. I replaced the front pair after 80,000 miles, then replaced all four, and recently replaced the front two again at 79,000 miles. For my car and me, these are the only tyres worth using.

215/70 R16 is used on some commercial applications and compact SUVs. 215 is simply the tyre width in millimetres. 70 is the ratio of the sidewall height to the width of the tyre. So, the width of the tyre is 215mm and 70% of that gives you 150mm. R16 indicates that the tyre is of radial construction and fits a 16-inch rim. It gives an overall diameter of 707mm. That 150mm sidewall absorbs some of the impacts on rough roads. At Tyres.co.uk, you can buy 215/70 R16, including C-marked versions.
