Urban Terrain T/A Tyres description & features

The BFGoodrich Urban Terrain T/A is an all-season SUV tyre that excels on wet paved roads, can handle a bit of off-road driving, and uses deep, wide grooves with slits on the tread surface to improve grip and manage water. The Urban Terrain T/A reduces aquaplaning with the use of circumferential grooves that channel water away from the contact patch. Slits on the tread blocks make gripping edges, improving traction on wet and muddy surfaces.

The Urban Terrain T/A has an SUV specific casing to withstand rough driving and has an urban driving specific tread design to keep road noise down. The Urban Terrain T/A also has a fuel efficient design element, a low rolling resistance, to reduce the cost of driving on paved surfaces. You can find the BFGoodrich Urban Terrain T/A on Tyres.co.uk.

Tyre review for BFGoodrich Urban Terrain T/A 215/70R16
They produce little to no noise which I appreciate, and I've found they grip mud, water, and even slippery wet grass pretty well. For example, if you've been to Lulworth Cove in Dorset, then you would know that the car park tends to get very busy and they often use a sloped grassy area to extend the car park. The wet grass area (which we call 'green ice') was no issue, as these tyres gripped as if it was a dry surface! I've never been stuck with these tyres on my T30 Xtrail, and I've owned the car for a number of years. These tyres also wear well, I only had to change my last set because they got too old, and it was just standard wear and tear. My car is a 2005 Nissan Xtrail 2.2 DCi Sport, and it weighs approximately 1450kg.

Everything is going well! Great traction for uncomplicated off-road use, and also performs well on the road. A far better deal than the Continentals I just replaced.

Fantastic grip and they look good too! Plus the customer service at Tyres.co.uk is commendable. We encountered a problem with fitting 100 miles from home and they sorted it quickly and effectively.

Those are my first tyres that match the Pirelli tyres I have. They are clearly better, being more performant, quieter, and having more responsive grip than the Pirellis.

Tyre review for BFGoodrich Urban Terrain T/A 235/75R15
I paid an extra £60 for tracking and the outer edges of all four tyres are already showing signs of wear, which is not very good. They probably won't last a year. I also keep getting false flat tyre alerts on the dashboard.

Tyre review for BFGoodrich Urban Terrain T/A 235/75R15
I have driven 2000 miles in total. It's a little too early to tell how the tread wear will be. Compared to the Michelin pilots, the steering on my X5 is a bit more vague. They are a bit less quiet than the Michelins which only lasted 18,000 miles for me. But, they are much more comfortable on the ride, and are cheaper. They are mud and snow rated so I anticipate winter performance to be good, although I have not yet tested them in actual winter conditions.

Holding up nicely. I had to change the original tyres because they were worn out and I chose these all-season tyres for my 4x4.
