Registration lookup usually matches factory fitments, but some Arteons have approved alternatives depending on trim and wheel size. If more than one option appears, check your current tyre size on the sidewall or your handbook before ordering.
Look on the tyre sidewall for a code like 245/40 R19 98Y. Enter the width, profile, rim size, then confirm the load index and speed rating shown at the end.
In the UK it’s generally allowed, but it’s best to fit matching tyres on the same axle to maintain consistent grip and handling. If you need to replace just one tyre, try to match the same model and similar tread depth where possible.
Replace tyres before they reach the legal minimum of 1.6mm tread across the central three-quarters of the tyre. Many drivers change earlier, around 3mm, for better wet braking and aquaplaning resistance.
