Rolls Royce Silver Shadow Tyres

The Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow (1965-1980) comes in a variety of flavours including the long-wheelbase models and the Silver Shadow II. Silver Shadow tyres should help provide users a pleasant experience for both short jaunts in the classic and long drives. Due to the age of the classics, wet grip and low noise levels are pretty important on top of even grip.

Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow Tyres can vary quite substantially based on the year of production, body style, engine choice, and factory wheel option. For confident handling and a comfortable ride, the correct Silver Shadow tyres should be the right size, load, and speed rating. Never assume a size fits all, as you could be putting your safety at risk. Production years, model years, and the options menu for the Silver Shadow can be found on either the sidewall, vehicle handbook, or registration documents.

At Tyres.co.uk, you can see all the specs for each tyre, compare pricing, and check performance before local installation at a participating garage. The best bet for Silver Shadow owners looking to stay within spec is to buy the recommended tyres for their models.

Country roads in the Scottish highlands can be a bit of a challenge. However, I think I've solved most problems with my new tyres. They're so much better for cornering and braking, especially when it's raining, and they feel grippy enough to hold on to the road. I've also noticed that my car handles a lot better, and the tyres didn't break the bank either. I am very pleased with my decision.

Your Rolls Royce Silver Shadow Tyre Questions Answered

Tyres.co.uk has tyre options for Rolls Royce Silver Shadow including Michelin XVS and Avon TurboSteel in 235/70 R15 for cars of the chassis number SRC 18269. This is the size for factory-fitment for the later version; earlier Silver Shadows are fitted with different equipment, check the registration, load index, speed rating and tube requirements before ordering.

Information about the Rolls Royce Silver Shadow tyres can be found on the tyre-pressure placard located on the driver's side door jamb. You can also cross-reference information found in the handbook and the sidewall markings of the fitted tyres. Since factory equipment varies by chassis number, use the placard and vehicle documentation instead of a general popular-size list when selecting replacements.

The Rolls Royce Silver Shadow models are rear-wheel drive, meaning no driveline version requires all four tyres to match. Tyres should be replaced in pairs per axle, with matching construction and specification. If two new tyres are fitted, they are to be placed on the rear axle. Early Silver Shadows being switched to radial tyres need a full set of four tyres.
