The Hankook Ventus S1 Evo 2 SUV (K117A) is designed for high performance in summer conditions with handling characteristics built specifically for heavier vehicles. To achieve this, Hankook employs their High Grip Silica Compound and a casing specifically designed for SUV use. The tyre features the Aqua Driving Control layout with four longitudinal grooves that work to channel water and control the tread in wet driving conditions. A three-layer block design innovatively changes the shape of the tread blocks as the tyre wears to maintain the tread pattern throughout the tyre's lifespan.

The K117A was designed and engineered specifically as the SUV version of the Ventus S1 Evo 2 tyre, and the SUV version is equipped with a reinforced construction specifically designed for the greater weight and higher centre of gravity of an SUV. The K117A has been replaced with the Ventus S1 Evo 3 SUV, the newer summer performance SUV tyre by Hankook. At Tyres.co.uk, we have stock for the Hankook Ventus S1 Evo 2 SUV.

Fitted these to the SUV a couple of months back and they have been very good. Plenty of grip in the wet and the car feels planted on faster roads. Quieter than the ones they replaced as well.

These are a great all round tyre. They do great job staying quiet on the motorways trips and holding strong on the muddy backroads. They also have an even wear so far and good mileage as well.

The tyres are performing how you would expect from a premium brand. The only downside is that the weight of my electric car causes them to wear down quicker but they still have a good grip on the more difficult terrain.
