Should I rotate my tyres during fitting?

Tyre rotation refers to the repositioning of tyres in different wheel locations to counteract uneven tyre wear.

How rotation helps

In front-wheel drive vehicles, the front tyres wear down more quickly because they are subject to both steering and driving forces. Moving the front tyres to the back can increase the lifespan of the tyres overall.

When rotation is not recommended

• Directional tyres can only be rotated from front to back on the same side, meaning they cannot be crossed
• In cases of staggered fitments with different tyre sizes in the front and rear, rotation cannot be performed
• Some vehicle manufacturers state in their manuals that rotation is not advised
