It is not a rule to have a wheel alignment check after a tyre change, however it is recommended.

When to have it checked

• If your previous tyres had uneven wear across the tread
• If there have been recent encounters with large potholes or kerbs
• Your car pulls to one side when on a straight, level road
• You want to get the most out of your new tyres

Why it is important

Small misalignments can lead to rapid wear and uneven tyre wear, costing you a lot of money in replacing your tyres sooner than expected. Most fitting centres offer alignment as an option, and for many it can be done on the same day of your appointment.
