The Uniroyal DH40 is a summer tyre which incorporates a tread design intended to assist wet braking and steering and to help with the rapid removal of aquaplaning water. Separate water removal channels run through the tyre and are connected by shallow slits that also serve to improve wet-road traction. The large blocks on the outer edge of the DH40 are intended to assist the tyre when cornering or lane changing.
