A few days after I had the tyres fitted, there was a cold snap with 20cm of snow and several days of ice. I was very impressed with the performance of these tyres on my Volvo XC90, and they have renewed my confidence in it as a winter vehicle, especially after the poor performance of the Volvo recommended Continentals that are more suitable for summer and wet conditions. I wonder if these tyres will last the 40,000 miles another reviewer stated, as opposed to the usual 17,000 miles with the Continentals. I am very happy I made the switch.

I bought Continentals for my Mazda CX-5 because I needed new tyres. I was surprised by the improved smoothness of the ride, the handling, and the quieter ride. I would buy this brand again in a heartbeat and recommend it to anyone. I would also add that Tyres.co.uk has amazing prices and service. Unfortunately, I cannot add a photo as I bought a new car last year.

In general, they have performed well over my mileage and I would certainly get Hankook again.

285/45 R21 is a large SUV tyre size. This is fitted as standard on the Mercedes-AMG G 63. The numbers indicate the following specifications. The "285" indicates the width in mm. The "45" indicates the sidewall height as a percentage of the tyre width. So, in this case, the sidewall height is 128mm. "R" indicates a radial tyre and "21" means it is on a 21-inch rim.
