Sara Greenshields

I did not expect these tyres to perform this well on winter roads; the grip I have experienced with my truck in the winter months has been the best.

BFGoodrich Trail-Terrain T/A ORWL

Beatriz Mcshane

I have only had them for a short time but they grip fairly well. There is a small amount of road noise but it's nothing I can't live with.

BFGoodrich Trail-Terrain T/A ORWL

Neal Tesni

They managed light snow and heavy rain and did not add weight. They also effectively handled both.

About these reviews

Tyre reviews recording 255/65 R17, across tyre brands and tread ranges. Each review identifies its tyre range.

5/5

BFGoodrich Trail-Terrain T/A ORWL

The tyres are performing great. Although I haven't tested them in snow, they are excellent on dirt trails, logging roads, asphalt and even in flooded conditions.

5/5

Yokohama G018 A/T4

Smoothing the procedure, I was greatly pleased with how quick and efficient the fitting was.

5/5

BFGoodrich Trail-Terrain T/A ORWL

They really grip and stop well. In comparison to other all-terrain options, they are quieter on the road, and used to have no issues on grass, dirt, and gravel roads.

5/5

Yokohama tyres perform really well in off-road situations. They really shine in muddy and gravel situations and allow me to have confidence in the terrain. It also hasn't increased my fuel consumption which is a bonus.

5/5

Continental Winter Contact TS850 P

I am pleased with what they are doing, and they are doing well.

5/5

BFGoodrich Trail-Terrain T/A ORWL

Currently performing well on dry roads and wet roads, and also on gravel surfaces.

4/5

Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015

Excellent value for your money, they do as they say. They're ideal for what I need even though I don't drive a lot.

5/5

BFGoodrich Trail-Terrain T/A ORWL

Meets my needs and is good for any type of terrain.

4/5

BFGoodrich Trail-Terrain T/A ORWL

I regularly do a tyre pressure check and rotation, but just like a lot of BF Goodrich tyres, they often need to be rebalanced. They are not the best in the wet on tarmac, but are not at the point where it's unsafe or you'd lose control. These tyres have been on long trips throughout Yorkshire, twice to Cornwall and the Scottish Highlands in the last year and have minimal signs of tread wear or chipping. I do not have a puncture yet.

5/5

Lanvigator Warrior RT

So far, I am really impressed with the handling and comfort.

255/65 R17 is a size for SUVs and pick-up trucks, and is original fitment on some Nissan Navara and Pathfinder models, as well as the Ford Ranger. The specs are easy to read. 255 is the width in millimetres. 65 is the percentage of 255 that describes the height of the sidewall, giving a height of 166mm. R17 shows that this tyre has a radial construction over a 17-inch rim, and gives a total diameter of 763mm. This sidewall is well suited to these trucks due to the loads they are designed to carry. Tyres.co.uk has 255/65 R17, and we sell the XL variations too.
