The Yokohama Advan Neova AD08RS is a summer tyre that is road-legal and ultra-high-performance. It has a stiffer casing and reinforced sidewalls that allow the AD08RS to hold its shape and outperform competitors in track day sessions. The large blocks on the edge provide support for the tyre during turn-in and mid-corner loading. The AD08RS provides multiple channels for water evacuation in heavy rain due to the wide longitudinal grooves and angled cross channels.

The AD08RS is the successor of the AD08R and has been revised to satisfy the ECE R117-02 S2WR2 regulation for rolling resistance, wet grip, and external noise. It also provides the reinforced XL construction in a few select sizes for cars that require a higher load capacity. Tyres.co.uk has Yokohama Advan Neova AD08RS and XL construction tyres in stock.

While I would recommend them, I would advise caution in the wet as they can skid. On the dry however, they are fantastic.

I do not think these tyres perform well and am surprised at them being marketed as suitable for track days. There was little grip and at Brands Hatch the tyres squealed on a dry surface. I went to Snetterton today where the conditions were wet to dry and I almost decided to call it a day because the tyres were not worth it. I think they are only fit to be summer road tyres. I am really disappointed by them.

I'm really pleased with these. The handling of the car is better than I expected -- it provides greater grip on bends and allows me to push the car's limits more. They can be a bit "interesting" when it is wet, however as long as they are used with caution, they still do the job. I haven't tested them in winter conditions at 5 degrees or below.

I haven't tried them in the rain yet, but I can confirm that they grip really well in the dry. I was slightly concerned that the RS model wouldn't grip as well as the previous R version, which had to change because of some stupid regulation, but strangely I haven't noticed any difference. I had a few slidy moments early on, probably because the release agent was still intact, but they are all good now.

The wet grip isn't as good as the previous version. I've gone from the AD08R to the AD08RS, and I'm assuming this is due to the alterations made to the compounds for compliance with new legislation for noise and similar regulations.

These tyres have been designed for track days, however, they still perform amazingly in wet conditions when heated up. When they are still clod, be more cautious. Greater pressure will help to reduce the sidewall firmness and increased the steering response, thus firmer sidewalls would be beneficial.

Best suited to hot and dry conditions, but when it comes to cold and damp climates, these are not the most suitable options. At -4 degrees, this would not be appropriate for an English winter. Looking forward to trying them out on track soon. They also look great on my Japanese car and enhance the JDM look.

I remember doing a track day driving my car with brand new tyres. The rear was practically impossible to slip at corner exits. The sideways grip was very good as well. They were good in the wet too, although the grip was lower at near freezing temps (around 0°C). They aren't the best in standing water, but that is to be expected with semi-slicks.
