225/60 R16 was the original equipment on the Jaguar XJ8 and on some of the Renault Espace models. More sidewall means more cushioning for your car over rough roads. As for the numbers, the width is 225mm, the sidewall is 60 percent of that, so it's 135mm, and R16 brings the overall diameter to 676mm with a radial tyre on a 16-inch rim.
