Many BMW Z4 variants do run a staggered setup, but not all. Check the tyre sizes printed on the sidewalls, the driver door placard, or your handbook. If you search by registration, the correct front and rear sizes should be shown where applicable.
Some Z4 models were supplied with run-flat tyres from the factory. You can choose run-flats if they match the approved size and ratings, but switching to non run-flats may require an inflation kit or spare solution and is best paired with a check that your wheels and tyre pressure monitoring system are compatible.
Your tyres must meet or exceed the manufacturer’s specified speed rating, which is often W or Y on many Z4 trims. The correct rating is shown on the door placard and in the handbook, and it appears in the tyre size code (for example 255/35 R18 94Y).
Replace tyres when tread is low, wear is uneven, or you see cracking, bulges or repeated pressure loss. The UK legal minimum tread is 1.6mm across the central three-quarters, but many drivers change earlier (around 3mm) for stronger wet braking and grip, especially on a rear-wheel-drive Z4.
After choosing the correct tyres, you can select a nearby fitting garage, pick a date and time, and complete the order online. Fitting typically includes removal, fitting, balancing and disposal of old tyres, with any extras like TPMS servicing or alignment quoted separately by the garage.
