The Nankang Econex NA-1 is a summer urban and motorway design passenger car tyre with low rolling resistance. The tread has a highly siliceous compounding which lowers energy loss when rolling while maintaining adhesive properties for grip on the wet. The NA-1 tread design has four major grooves for water evacuation and a robust edge design for corner performance. A varied pitch tread design is employed to aid in a reduction in tread pattern noise.

The NA-1 is an XL reinforced construction tyre for high load vehicles available in select sizes. Summer tyres work best when temperatures are above 7 degrees. The NA-1 is best suited for this design. Tyres.co.uk stocks the Nankang Econex NA-1.

Having been disappointed with both Bridgestone and Goodyear, I chose Nankang NA-1s to replace the expensive Bridgestone front tyres on my BMW i3. While the premium tyres usually last longer, my Bridgestone tyres only lasted two years before they started cracking and deteriorating much quicker than I expected. Trying to save some money, I opted for the Nankang NA-1s and they have actually exceeded my expectations. After a few hundred miles, I was so impressed that I also replaced the rear tyres with Nankangs. The drive is much smoother, the grip is noticeably better, and the road noise is much quieter than the premium tyres I used to have. It may be too early to tell how long they will last but I have really enjoyed them and would buy them again without hesitation.

The tyres easily deal with aquaplaning. I can see a good deal on these considering the size and tread pattern. Actual miles driven are still few, but I expect to see solid durability on these. I have previously used Nankang for performance tyres and had no problems.
